KWCX X Wave 104.9 FM
Broadcasting since September 25, 1959
Located in Willcox, X Wave 104.9 FM is the unique radio station for Arizona in that X Wave breaks all the rules for radio stations and we’re glad to do it! X Wave does not have DJs wasting hours of programming with mindless chatter. We have music. We give our audience what they want - music.

“All music, all the time” is our motto because, like our audience, music is our focus. Music builds our listener following and in turn brings customers to our clients. X Wave’s “all music, all the time” rule also makes us the perfect station for work and is why we’re played in many local businesses. Check out Apple Annie's, Auto Zone, Chase Bank, Compass Bank, Coronado Vineyards, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Sierra Lumber, State Farm and Twin Lakes Golf Course (to name a few).

Music drives our business and X Wave’s music is unmatched. X Wave plays hit songs from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and today’s current hits from all across the globe. That’s right! X Wave researches and selects music from Asia, Australia, Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Russia to compliment American hits. This gives our audience a wide variety of tempos, styles and music genres in a smooth, clutter-free presentation.

X Wave also breaks the radio music genre rule. We give our audience the unheard of variety of: The Monkees to Madonna, Barry Manilow to Van Halen, and The Beatles to 3 Doors Down! No other Arizona radio station can match this!

Finally, X Wave shatters the satellite radio format. We broadcast 24/7 out of our studios. This allows X Wave to respond to a listener song request within two songs from the request and play new hit songs, now, while the satellite formats wait up to six months to schedule them into rotation. It also allows us to be able to update our client changes within hours - not days.

X Wave delivers a strong female (ages 25–45) audience. We deliver a large geographical coverage area divided by Interstate 10 because our antenna sits on top of the Dos Cabezas mountains in Cochise County.

X Wave 104.9 FM. Listen… we’re playing a great song right now!
